Tour Information

PINK TREKKING

This tour is conducted in a vehicle accompanied by a guide. The meeting point is at the Playa Roja Tours office. Please arrive 15 minutes before the agreed time. Once all participants are present, we will begin the tour.

We will depart with our staff and head to the Paracas National Reserve, where you will need to pay a tourist fee of 11 soles per person.

We headed straight to the Julio C. Tello Museum, which was founded on August 16, 1964, by President Belaunde Terry and archaeologist Frederic Engel. The museum is named after Dr. Julio C. Tello, the "Father of Peruvian Archaeology," who discovered and researched the Paracas culture. In 2016, the museum reopened its doors with a new infrastructure and museography designed by architects Sandra Barclay and Jean Pierre Crousse, and in 2018, it was named "Best New Museum in Latin America" by the Leading Culture Destinations Awards, in the fifth edition held at the South Kensington Club in London. The museum has nine permanent exhibition halls and one temporary exhibition hall.

Our next stop is at La Mina or Yumaque beach, where we will stay for approximately 30 minutes (depending on the group). Here, you will have free time to walk or swim at this white sand beach with clear turquoise water.

After enjoying this beautiful beach, we headed to our vehicle to go directly to Laguna Rosada, a natural attraction famous for its intense pink color produced by microorganisms and high salinity. It is a habitat for flamingos, ideal for photography. The color is due to the high salinity and the presence of microalgae that thrive in this environment.

Next, we will head to El Playon beach, where we will begin our approximately 1.5-hour hike or trek through the Paracas National Reserve. You will visit Cuesta Farallones, Punta Lobos, Dos Cruces, Península Arena, Sombras Doradas, and Punta Sunset, where you can watch a spectacular sunset.

The strong wind and the sound of the water against the coast will provide you with unforgettable sensations and views.

After enjoying the sunset and taking beautiful photos, we will conclude our service.

You will return to Paracas at approximately 6:30 or 7:00 p.m., depending on the time of sunset.
