It was an Inca settlement located in the province of Pisco, on the right bank of the Pisco River valley, in the corner formed by mountains, near the town of Humay. The name of the group of tuins comes from the red color of the buildings.
It is one of the largest archaeological sites in Peru. It is a typical construction of the Tawantisuyo in its lines and architectural form. This adobe construction is unique
Tambo Colorado, also known as Pucallacta or Pucahuasi (from puca=red in Quechua), from the top of this tiny pyramid you can clearly see a large part of the wide and fertile valley that extends towards the sea.
You will discover the well-preserved Inca fortress of Tambo Colorado with a professional and well-instructed guide.
